While live music in Milwaukee is plentiful on the weekends, you can’t be everywhere at once, and great shows sometimes get missed. With this in mind, we here at TCD have decided to bring the music to you with our brand new video series “Take One at ThirdCoast.” We’ve invited artists into our cozy office at The Shops of Grand Avenue, set up a few mics and let the cameras roll. We’ve got quite a few performances lined up to debut in the next few weeks which we think you’ll really enjoy.

I named Milwaukee’s Midnight Reruns as being one of the 10 Must See Local Bands this past summer, and they’ve since only gotten better. Their debut EP Central Time showcased a band with a lot of promise and some pretty classic reference points-namely The Replacements, Thin Lizzy and Stiff Little Fingers. With a full length in the works for 2013, The Reruns stopped into our offices to play two brand new tracks from their upcoming album, with a little help from Lord Brain’s Brady Murphy and Trapper Schoepp and the Shades’ Tanner Schoepp on electric piano and backing vocals, respectively. Check out the exclusive live video below of two brand new Midnight Reruns tracks-“Grand Slam” and “Basement Guy,” recorded live at the TCD office, as well as the accompanying photo gallery.
