On Friday night baseball fans converted a downtown parking lot into an outdoor movie theater to watch the Milwaukee Brewers game. The first, and hopefully annual, Downtown Baseball Block Party took place in the city-owned surface parking lot at 401 W. Wisconsin Ave. Hosted by the newly-formed WAM District, the parking lot was turned into an active, fun, and exciting place to be.

Attendees had the opportunity to tailgate, partake in food from a number of food trucks, play games (including adult tricycle races), enjoy live music, purchase drinks from a beer tent, and finish the event by watching a live broadcast of a Milwaukee Brewers vs Arizona Diamondbacks game on a massive outdoor screen. Attendees of all ages, colors, and creeds packed the parking lot hours before the 8:40 p.m. game start time, and helped make the event a success.
