Valentine Haikus, love in 17 syllables

Tom Strini’s Seven New Haikus for Valentines Day, 2012

You dress and undress
And delight in my watching
In love’s day to day

yellow-roseIf I thought you’d laugh
If I fell down the staircase
I would take the dive

red-roseWhen brown eyes do weep
Blues eyes weep. When brown eyes do
Smile, blue eyes smile too

oger-roseDays months years decades
Always near ever dearer
Ever wanting more

small-roseYou fold fitted sheets
So neatly. Small things you do
Make love rush through me

white-roseOld familiar love
Ardent as the younger sort
I’m pleased to report

red-roseYou’re mine. If not, I’d
Hatch screwball comic plots to
Be your Valentine

Aw, Tom’s such a mushy romantic! You’re so lucky Lee Ann.
