Fostering innovation at VETransfer

Ted Lasser, Executive Director

It’s been 10 years since U.S. Armed Forces went into Afghanistan, and many of our troops are still there. Our brave men and women in uniform have made great sacrifices in dedicated service to our country, and in honor of those who serve in the military, today we begin a series of conversations with veterans who live and work in the Milwaukee area.

To start the series, I had a conversation with Ted Lasser, Executive Director at VETransfer and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Within the past year, Lasser, who has extensive experience in business and entrepreneurship, led an effort to open an business incubator/accelerator specifically for veterans. VETransfer helps veterans by teaching them how to apply skills learned in the military to a business and entrepreneurial environment.

“If you served in the armed forces, and you were not dishonorably discharged, you have access to this program,” said Lasser.
