Michael Sottile earned his SAG card in Reservoir Dogs and makes his life in Milwaukee as proprietor and bartender at Lemon Lounge on Oakland Avenue — the city’s tiniest bar.

It was at Lemon that Michael met Frankie Latina, director of Modus Operandi; he only became involved in the now-runaway indie smash after turning him down twice (and after Frankie completely rewrote the script to more prominently showcase Michael’s character).

Mark Metcalf speaks with Michael as part of our ongoing podcast series leading up to the Milwaukee Film Festival, September 24 – October 4.

Listen now! Backstage with Mark Metcalf: Michael Sottile

In upcoming podcasts: Frankie Latina, Carlo Besasie and Jonathan Jackson, Executive Director of Milwaukee Film.

Backstage with Mark Metcalf is produced with WMSE 91.7 FM at the beautiful downtown studio of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
