PROP AND COSTUME GARAGE SALE

10:00 am – 3:00 pm

On Saturday, August 8 Milwaukee Repertory Theater will be holding its popular Prop and Costume Garage Sale. Items to be included will be costume pieces, props, furniture and set decorations. The Garage Sale will be held in The Rep’s Quadracci Powerhouse Theater. (Note: For the sale, please enter through the Rep’s administrative offices through the door immediately to the right of the Ticket Office.)

Some items have been featured in memorable Rep productions, such as HULA HOOP SHA-BOOP, GLENGARRY GLENN ROSS and THE CHERRY ORCHARD. Additional items include gently used pieces of furniture, which will be priced moderately.

Highlights of the sale include several pieces of 1950s memorabilia from HULA-HOOP SHA-BOOP, such as a light-up soda fountain counter as well as large cut-outs of Marilyn Monroe, a Fender guitar, a Coca-Cola bottle and a 1958 Chevy. An electric train set and track from THE CHERRY ORCHARD and two eight-foot wide inflatable beach balls from EURYDICE will also be available.

Collectable furniture items include a bronze-branched chandelier from THE FOREIGNER, four floor-standing candelabras from BACH IN LEIPZIG, an art-deco chandelier and globes from STATE OF THE UNION and a rolling pub-table with stool from NIGHT IS A CHILD. A Lay-Z-Boy easy chair from SAM COOKE – FOREVER MR. SOUL, three Chinese folding screens from GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS and a new rolltop desk are a few of the more practical furniture items.

The Rep’s costume department will also have items for sale, including both collectable period costumes and contemporary fashions.

Payment by cash or check will be accepted. All purchases are cash and carry, and must be removed from The Rep by the end of the day. For the best selection, get there early! For more information, please call 414-224-1761.
