A few bipartisan thoughts on health care reform from your friends at the Democrat Party
“Those who seek to block any reform at all, any reform at any cost, will not prevail this time around.”
— President Barack Obama, speaking at a “health care summit” on Thursday.
“I’m looking forward to being a foot soldier in this undertaking, and this time we will not fail.”
— Senator Edward “Teddy” Kennedy, speaking at the same event.
“On Capitol Hill, Rep. Steny Hoyer, the No. 2 House Democrat, and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., said Thursday they want their respective chambers to pass bills this summer so lawmakers can spend the rest of the year working out a compromise and get a final bill to Obama’s desk by year’s end.”
They want a bill reforming the entire country’s health care system on the president’s desk by year end? By year end? Wow.
So much change, and so quickly. It’s almost like a revolution from within.
