According to Alterra…

On Saturday, December 15th, the Alterra café on Humboldt Boulevard will open its doors, joining neighbors Loop Yarn Shop and Alterra Baking Company in our new building across from Pumping Station Park. In addition to freshly brewed coffee, the café will serve soups, salads, and sandwiches, and a wide selection of teas, espresso-based drinks and baked goods made daily from scratch.

The Alterra will make a welcome addition to the neighborhood over a Starbucks. I’ll have to drop by once it’s warmer, venturing that far in the cold for a cup of coffee isn’t quite in the card for me yet.

Please feel free to leave any feedback you have on the new location.

This is awesome. I live just a couple of blocks away in Riverwest. I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood. Someplace to get a quick sandwich along with the new yarn shop. It makes the neighborhood more walkable and just plain more livable.

I’m going over for a hot chocolate right now!

This is a great addition to the area and a really great building. While this is basically seems to be Alterra’s new HQ and they occupy most of the building, from the outside it’s very unassuming. The Alterra shop doesn’t seem to occupy any more of the building than the other store fronts. As a resident in Riverwest, I’m pretty happy that they made they’re perceived presence somewhat modest.

    Very nice.
